BAD BAD NEWS.
We lost the top part of the tripod..
Great way to end the module..
Sarah is now in school looking for the tripod and i tried to contact friends online to see if there got see anything lying around the school.
i also asked the rest of the group mates and what GOOD group mates i have.
i sms yuan then she replied say she dun know and maybe asked shermin 's group.
and she also tried to think of diff locations whereby there is a possiblity that the tripod thingy might be in there.
then i on msn talk to shawn and clint.
shawn no reply... k NVM.
since he is like non existance throughout the project.
then clint replied in a joking manner.. NVM. then he added AS IF I LOST IT.
WTF! AS IF HE GOT FILM IN THAT VIDEO.
its not that i want to say bad things about him lo.
its supposed to be a GROUP WORK.
and u think if Jing Yuan and I din work so hard for this video.
just by shao hui and u you think u all can finish the whole video?
Not that i want to say as if me and yuan like so Pro or wahtever.
But we work hard for this video lo.
U think u do the audio part very Pro? in a VIDEO u cant survive with only AUDIO pls.
Sorry if words are very harsh.
But this is really what i want to say.
the grades u are getting now is not by ur OWN EFFORT.
so pls dun be too proud of it.

Screening Day!

its the last day of Project One.
Gald that we finally completed it!

Okay i shall first say what happen today.
Jing yuan and i went to school early to complete all the final touches and the last bit of animation.
after ensuring that everything was done, we rendered our video!
then at 12, we were about to proceed to the lt 24 for the movie screening.
But someone told us that we can't present using the harddisk as the video will get laggy.
The Worst Thing Is.... WE HAVEN TRANSFER IT TO THE TAPE!!!
MY GOD!!!!
We rushed like hell up to the 3D animation lab and tried to borrow a video cam..
But every group up there will queuing up for their turn to use the only two there is in the room.
Sarah had forgotten to bring the video cam we had borrowed..
but its ok Sarah.

So we waited and as sholleh group is still rendering their video, they decide to let us use their video cam first.
THANKS SHOLLEH AND GROUP!!

so we started to transfer..but alot problems crop up and we had to transfer for like 4 times?!?
first time : the computer does not have enough space..
second time: Camera no battery..
Third time: Yuan tripped over the wire for the charger and the power supply cut off.
Fourth time: Finally DONE.

We rushed down to the lt24 without checking the tape thus not realising the small mistake in the video. Sorry group mates... i forget to put in the black video T.T
Our group was the second last to submit so we are the second to present.

The first video to show their work is sholleh's group.
And after which is our group.
I think that we did ourselves proud as we can hear alot of laughter while we play our video.
jen said that alfie was laughing SUPER loudly! HAHA!
This is how we want people to feel when they watch our video.
And while watching, even our group members were laughing our head off when we thought that we were already tired of video.
Even though unlike alvin's group, our lightings are not of the best..
Unlike Raj's group, our effect are not the best..
Unlike Tri's we dun have the best animation..
But i have to say that our video is the most entertaining one!!!
But honestly.. im VERY VERY VERY impressed by Raj's works as i guess that everyone will say so too!
their video are very of standard and even Ronald seems very satisfied with their work.
Shu xian's group: Even though their group's work are not the best out of the best, i know that they really put in alot of effort as u can see for their intro part, they stand outside general office there for like ONE HOURS PLUS!! just to hold that board to create the effect they wanted. imagine that you standing there and people walking past you will stare at you all like you some crazy people *even though i agree that designers are sort of crazy..*
joel and vivian: kind of shock by both of your acting! but still great as i get to see another side of ur! :)
Boon bin group: interesting idea and that hand action of the Doc MOI -_-
germ's group: HAHA! i like the my eye part! and chasing butterfly's too!
But not forgetting other groups though! All did a great job!

I feel very happy that we have created this piece of work as even though there are unhappiness in our group due to various reasons, i think that the final product is still good. I honestly think that me and Jing Yuan can click very well as the way we see things are very similar and we have the same sense of stupid humor! HAHA! Really had alot of fun work working with you, singing stupid songs, kana scolded by you and alot other more stuffs we did together. Not forgetting other group mates too (: Thanks for working hard for the past 2 months for this project !

And i guessed we had learnt alot in this process. For me, i learnt more about video editing as peng had teach me how to use the 'Wipe' effect, twirl effect and stuffs.And aslo that in doing video, there should be alot communication going as one person cat possibly do the video all by him or herself. So everyone should really talk to each other to hear suggestion so as to improve the whole video. And also that in the process of filming a video, planning is very IMPORTANT. We should really settle on the camera angle and the duration u want for every scene to be shown instead of just deciding on the things u wanna film, places u wanna filming. Also, always had a back up copy for your works as sometimes, ur file get corrupted and thats it. You will have to start for scratch. Lastly, ALWAYS CHECK UR FINAL WORK. Im still kinda upset over that 'Detective' and 'Spy' part in our video...Even thought it is kinda redundant, i still hope that our video would be at least perfect. for us.. But its ok...

Its kinda sad that we all ending or in fact ended our year one life in MOI. It seem so fast and sooner or later, everyone will split into two groups, video and animation. Dont really want that time to come but it still will right? everyone wants to persue their own dreams. So, i shall support all of my close friends who wants to get into animation! JIA YOU!

Day ??: LAST SECOND DAY!!

OKAY! I MESSED UP THE DAYS...
But it alright i guess... since i got more then 30 posts (:

ok today we finalise everything.
the editing, audio, colours and animation!

I then did the blooper parts while yuan did the animation.

Something happened to her flash file while she did her animation though...
SHE CAN'T SAVE THE FILE!!!!
OMG! she spend like 3 hours on that?
and the WORST thing is, the origninal file with a few scene that she saved in her thumbdrive is...GONE!!!

omg!!! she cried ....cause she thought it was game over for that piece of work she had done...
even ronald said he don't know what is happening to her file...
BUT HERE COME OUR SAVIOUR!!!
*drum roll*

"PENG!!!"
omg he saved yuan's day!
and Sholleh's one too!
HAHA!

Anyway she ca't finish her work in school as the security guard came scolding us at 11pm....
so we went home and gave her time to find a suitable audio.

We thought that i could render the video at home as i have the premiere file...
But, at 3 am on 19/03, yuan have not gotten the music yet..
i kinda tired but i can still wait for her to send me.

BUT, my connection speed is like 1.0 Mbps?!
how to recieve file?
so we decide to go early in the morning to render our video and transfer it to tape.

May the rendering be fast.

Day ?? : Voice over!

Reached school late...
Sorry :(
Anw reached school and start doing editing once again.
i am cutting the video to suit the audio that clint had found.
And also add in the rest of the audio. Thanks Clint!

Then after that we found one empty classroom and start to do voice over!
As told by peng as a good yet fast way to make our story tight.
We decide to use the spy voice to narrate the whole process.
So i was given the job to use my WONDERFUL voice once again...
So after recording,
Sarah did the noise removal of the voice and it came out to be kind of like TRANSFORMER sound.
HAHA!
she did her best and in the end i just sound like some sucidal girl talking!
LOL!
Then after that Jen's group borrowed our external hard disk to transfer files so we had to stop work.
and the transferring took VERY VERY LONG!!
but nvm..
We are almost done anyway.
HAHA!
so waited for the hard disk and decide to go home and do the rest of the work!
can wait for hoildays! if there is one...

Day Saturday: RUSH!!

OK.
went back to school today to do our animation section.

job for today:
ME- draw out the sunglasses, camera, tee shirt weird actions, hat
Shawn-draw out bag, coat, tee shirt
Sarah- part of the subtitles
Yuan-animation for start and ending credits
Clint-music and audio

Actually we plan to do voice over...
BUT WE FORGOT!!

Day Fifteen: presentation!

today is the PRESENTATION day!
so went sch in the morning as we thought its supposed to be a CLASS presentation.
but its NOT!!
So we edit our work while waiting for our turn.
Then we heard from sholleh that group that the computer in the room do not have premiere.
So we render out our video to quicktime.
But after that yuan need to go off to lesson and clinton go off to do something.
So left me and shawn and sarah.
so actually we were the second group to go present to Ronald.
But we allowed other group to go first as we wanted to wait for yuan till she ended class.

*time passes..*

ok the third group had ended there presentation.
so we called yuan and took our laptop and harddisk to meet ronald.
but ronald told us to go to his office to present.
So we went up.
then there's something work with mama's laptop as we can't open our premiere or quicktime file.
So ronald gave as 10mins to settle this problem as he need to go off to meet someone important..

So we rush down, grab jen's lappy!
then rush up to find ronald once again..
We showed him our quicktime version and he gave us some comments.

Firstly the colour of our video are real BAD...
sorry to my group member bout that because my eyes are not sensitive enough to get a more perfect colour correction...
Secondly, we should speed up some parts of our video.
Thirdly, we should take off the parts whereby the audio are very noicy and add music instead.

So Thanks Ronald!
we will alter our video accordingly (:

After that we went to reshoot the 2D part of our video without clint.
I, the spy needs to be as ME and also as the SPY.
So peng told us that while filming, we need to make sure that the spy part does not cross over to the other part so that we can use after effects to cut and put the two video together.

So we think for quite sometime before deciding on whr to shoot and how to too.
then we confirm on how to shoot and started shooting!
so i crawl over the camera and when i tried to stand up,
I KNEELED ONTO ALFIE'S COAT !!
AND IT TORE!!!

ALFIE IM SO SORRY!
i will fixed it and dry clean for u!
No worries!!
after that we called peng to help us with joining the two parts of the video together use the effect WIPE in after effect.

And while doing that, we must first speed up our video and peng does not know how to do it so we spend quite sometime figuring it out.
after then we did some colour correction and TADA!
Here comes our video!!

Day Fourteen: i went to school.

I went to school today due to request..

So yea sarah, clinton and me met up to do the audio part.
For the starting intro music, we found quite a lot of music but all does not seem to match the video well.
so clinton said that he will search for others at home.
Then for the warping in part, Clint found some scratching music that work out well for the video which is great!
Then again for the spy entering tp part, the music we found does not suit the video.
And once again clint said that he will go home to search for it and pass it to me by tomorrow.

Clint likes to work with his own computer, so i gave him a list of music for him to search on and let him off to start work.

i then stayed in school to put in effects for our video and also add in our works as it would not make our whole video seems out of point.

Anyway, change of plans.
Tomorrow (Fri) reshoot the video and 2D part of our video and also do the voice over.
Sat finish last bit of editing and render and do those small animation.
Sun finish al animation and render it out to a video.

Hope that this time round this plan will work.

Day Thirteen: no mood.

SORRY!
i woke up at 12pm today thus i am super late!!
so i sms-ed the rest telling them that.
so at ard 1 30, i then got out of my home..
then jing yuan and i need to get to tampanies mall as she need to get a black polo tee for the dip. show held on the evenings...
so in the end, we reached school at about 3pm...
and jing yuan went off for lesson..
So i went to find sarah in the 3D lab and did editing again...
EDITING IS SO TIME CONSUMING!!
at at 5, we went off to help out in the Dip show and i reached home at 12 +...

anw i dont think we are going to school tmr as Jing yuan is currently sick and the presentation is postponed to Friday.

so i guess i stay at home to do colour correction to make our colour is the video look richer(:

i hope that.....
On fri, we first have our presentation and then we will go get hold of a camera so that we could film either after the presentaion, or on sat.
then sat we will take those narration/ voice over and after which we can render our video!
and hope that next monday or tuesday, jing yuan and i can finish out animation to put into the video and TADA!!! WE ARE DONE WITH P1~~~

Day Twelve: Thanks PENG!

Editing still going on!
kind of regret doing drama...
but its alright as at least it something different!

Oh ya!
today we met some technical problems so we went to look for peng.
and he came to help us with it.
BUT! the bad news came...
WE DONE IT WRONGLY!!!!
so in the end, need reshoot again!!

We asked peng to sort of look through our video.
he gave us comments saying that our video is very draggy and what we can do is to cut off those irrelevant parts and then add in a voice over to sort of narate the whole story.
So guess we got quite alot to do once again..

Day Eleven: I AM AT HOME!

OK.
today we all did not go to school.
So i stayed at home to do my video editing whereas jing yuan did animation.

editing still going on fine...
but its abit too long...i mean VERY long.
which means: more editing to go!

Day Extra Once Again!

its a SATURDAY!!!
But as we really wanted to finish the project as fast as we could,
we decide to come back to school to finish all shooting!!
so we meet around 1pm and shoot till around 3 plus and then we ...
WENT OFF~!!!

Day Ten: editing AGAIN!

ok.
Today we did editing again.
wanted to reshoot all the scenes that needed to reshoot.
But, we forgot to bring the jacket, members forgot to wear same clothes.
so in the end we decide to come back on Sat to reshoot it.
so i continued with editing :/

Day Nine: EDITING!

Today we asked Shao hui to bring his laptop to school just in case we cant occupy a computer in school.
But, we realised that his premiere cannot work!!
so we still need to use the school computer...

OK... when we open our project in the school computer, we found out that our audio is GONE!!!
And if we were to cut the audio to fit our already-done-video, it would be damn difficult!!!
so we decide to REDO...
*tears*

we went home~~

Day Eight: ITS A DULL RAINY DAY...

We were late today.. and clinton was early so he got pissed.
and when we came, we asked him to go home to transfer to Sarah's newly bought thumb drive so that we could bring it to school and do our editing, he told us that he wont be coming home once he got home.
So, i told him "OK then i go with u and i will be the one bringing the hard disk back to school."
So i went off to take bus with him and while waiting for the bus, shao hui came to accompany me.

Then we went to his house and got the files and he of course stayed at home.

Shao hui and I then took bus back to school but on the way back, it started to rain and yes, we got drenched. wtf.

ok nvm that.
When we got back to school, there were no computers with premier pro left for us an SO... GREAT! we wasted yet another day!

Why cant the lec tell us before hand that the 3D room will be locked up?

there goes another day..
pray that editing will be done within 2 days..

Day Seven: yet another day...

): today is roughly the same as the previous day...
we only managed to shoot the LAST scene we are left with and after that, we cant do editing as we dont have a harddisk and greg did something to wendy's thumbdrive and all the contents were being emptied.

So, we went off early as there were nothing we could do..

Sarah decided to buy a external hard disk for this project and i went to sim lim square with her to get it.

Day Six: Panic!!

We did not do much today as we planned to reshoot the DMfun scene and also Jingyuan's last scene.
BUT, when we went to ronald's animation room, there were people having lesson so we decide to go to alan's animation room to do the reshooting and editing.
We decided to first upload our video to see the product before we start to shoot the DMfun scene.
But HALFWAY through, alan came in and told us that we need to get out of the room as they need to lock up the place for the examination thingy...
We were shocked as we were still capturing the video AND we dun have a thumbdrive that is big enough to contain all our files!!
so we called friends to ask whether they have an external harddisk or a bigger thumbdrive.
But no one got any such disk or drives so we had no choice but to stop work for two days...

We left the room and was about to go home...
and then we saw wendy and her group!
so we asked them and YEA! wendy has a got a hard disk.
so we went in the room to transfer our stuffs!
after transferring, clinton took it home and transfer it to his computer.
Whereas jing yuan and shao hui went off.

And it is the end a unproductive day..

Day Extra: TIRED!

is a SATURDAY!!!
We still managed to drag ourselves to school somehow...

Ok. meet at 1 + to have the last few scenes but we only managed to finish 1 + scene today and we will leave the last scene (animation) till monday.

Ok. i realized that our camera is overdue. WHAT TO DO??
everything is borrowed under my name.
GREAT...
hais...

nvm...
i guess it would be alright to return on monday...
i hope so...
