Day Five: No mood.. ):

Okay.
today we were to meet early to finish the last bit of filming for jing yuan and shao hui.
BUT tt shao hui was damn late.
reached around 130 pm? and the previous night he still told me that he need to go off at 2pm...
WTH.

anw when he came, we were quite pissed so we decide to hack care him and went to have lunch.
AN EYE FOR AN EYE. he let us wait. we let him wait.
we were thinking while eating whether we should shoot today or on monday since all of us were quite tired from all the shootings.
But we all agreed that it is better if we finish shooting by the week.
So we pulled ourselves together and went to do filming.

We started reshooting the part whereby shao hui walks up the stairs and me, the spy, follows as the one we did yesterday was very orange due to the lightings in TP at night.
So after shooting that, we change from the main camera view to the spy camera view to shoot the spy following shao hui up the stairs towards the 3D studio.

Then after finishing shooting this scene, it was about 3 plus and as jing yuan need to go off for lesson and shao hui and I need to head off, we decide to call it a day.

Anyway we will be coming back tomorrow to continue filming the rest of the scenes.
But i doubt we will finish filming by tomorrow :/

ANYWAY! today is the LEAP DAY and im going to watch THE LEAP YEARS!
Hope that this Singapore movie wont disappoint me :D

Day Four: filming..

Today's meeting time : 12 pm.
When we met: 12.45pm
HAHA! same thing happen even after we change the meeting time to 12pm!

okay.
As soon as we all met, we agreed to shoot the scene whereby the spy came into tp des school as it seems that the school is quite deserted..
BUT WE WERE WRONG!
while filming, quite a number of people were actually walking about.
but we only took about 3 takes as the people were being blocked by Clinton, Shao hui and Sarah.

After that we proceed to the 3D room to continue the part where we stopped yesterday on DMfun.
So we got jing yuan positioning herself near the mirror inside the room taking clinton walking into the room with me having a conversation with clinton as he sit down.
then after that we showcase some of our own DMfun works and then i commented abit on our works.
While commenting, I accidently said that Sarah's work was QUITE BAD!!!
HAHA! it was because i wanted to say both NOT BAD and QUITE GOOD.
So by adding it together, it is QUITE BAD!
HAH! have another round of laughter from this once again!

After the DMfun scene, we proceed down to the 2nd level to continue filming the 2D and video part of our video.
we encountered some problems as we needed ME to be in 2 scenes as im acting as ME and also the SPY.
So we called jake's group to ask on how are we supposed to do the overlaying of me in the video.
And after knowing on how to do it, we started filming!

While acting as the spy, i need to crawl pass Sarah and Shao hui!! so i lay flat onto the group, and starts to crawl!
even though acting is tiring, i still enjoyed the process as it is fun!
HAHA!~

Day Three: feeling embarrassed!

Okay. we were supposed to meet at 11 again for today..
But once again, we were abit late and we drag on for abit...
But its ok :) since we were ahead of schedule!

so today we started by first filming the part whereby me, the spy, meet Clinton on the design ramp.
So sarah and jing yuan set up the tripod and stuffs near the vending machine at the design entrance and me and clinton waited on the ramp.
Shao hui's job was to make sure that no one pass by us when we are filming.

So we tried out acting the scene without recording first.
and its seems fine.
BUT, when we are doing it seriously, IT DID NOT CAME OUT TO BE THE WAY WE WANTED IT TO BE!!
So we had to take a few takes and it was DAMN FREAKING HOT in the coat that Alfie had lent us!
ENDURE!!!

HAHA! anyway while filming this shot, something hilarious happened.
while i am following Clinton, i misjugde the distance of the cam on my hand and the wall as i am wearing sunglasses..
So, i ran towards the wall, hit on the wall and fell to the ground!
And my group mates laugh almost immediately!!!
the worst thing is... the year 2 seniors were sitting at the bench where we were filming and they saw the whole incident!
So everyone was practically laughing out loud!
including myself! HAHA!

:/ nevermind me....

ok then after finishing this shot, we proceed to film Clinton going into the 3D animation room.
and on his way there, we need someone to prolong the time while the spy went to hide behind the dustbin..
So today we asked.....*drum roll again*

JEREMY!!

And after Clinton went into the lab, i actually wanted to film the part on DMfun..
But some of our group mates did not bring their works they wanted to showcase along with them..
so we skipped some scenes and we proceed on taking the scene whereby the spy camera follow sarah into the lift towards the 2D paintings and video part.
And as we needed people in the lift, we kindly invited our lovely year 2s seniors for help!
They were very cooperative :)
After that, we called it for a day and went off~~
WEE!~~~

Day Two: Starts filming!

HELLO again..

We were supposed to meet at 11am today and start filming!
but we delay till 12pm before starting :/
Then before starting to shoot, jing yuan suggest that we should go check whether our video cam is fully charged.

So we headed to the 3D lab to check it out.
BUT THE WORST THING HAPPEN!!!


WE DUN EVEN HAVE A BATTERY INSIDE THE CAMERA BAG!!!
S**T!
so we went down to level 1 equipment store.
But the person there went for his break till 1.30pm!
so we have to wait for him...

Then at 1.30, we went to find him to tell him that we dont have a battery inside the bag..
but as we had borrowed the cam for like a week, he dont really believe us about it.
BUT even though we had borrowed it for a week, we did not even used it!!
because we had to redo our storyboard!
so we manage to convince him and got our battery!

at about 2+ pm, we started shooting our first scene!
AND, as the whole group needs to be in the video, we need some our people to help us pan the camera!
So at first, we asked zaihan for help..
but he got a class to look after..
so we had no choice but to ask somebody else and we manage to find..*drum roll*
GINA!!
Thanks girl for all the help ya! :D

then after that we thought that the rest of the shooting can be done by ourselves..
BUT, the same thing happened again!!
the five of us have to be in the screen!!
so we went out and happen to meet sholleh and betty!!
so we asked for help once again and TADA! they agreed to do so =D
MOI people are GOOD people!!
haha!
will their help, WE ARE DONE FOR SCENE 1 and LAST SCENE!!!!
YIPEE!!

and as we still got time, we continued to film the spy master scene which is scene 2!
and we manage to finish filming it!
so we done 3 scenes in a day!

Not bad for a start =D

Day One: NEW BLOCK!!

HELLO EVERYONE!! ITS A NEW BLOCK!:)

We need to hand in our storyboard, time line, script and our blog by today!!
BUT, our group have not reshoot our storyboard yet!
So, we met at 8.30am to get it done as we had something on during the weekends and on fri.
I had already planned some of the shots at home so it would be more easy for us to shoot as we have something to refer to =)
And our props and location were all planned and done so whats left is just to shoot!

So, we started about 9 plus in the morning and ended it at around 1-2pm.
But... WE GOT ABOUT 200++ PHOTOS!
..and we did not realise it.
so we went to make a powerpoint slide for it..
and each picture required ALOT of RESIZING!!!
-.- so i spent like an hour for like 20 pictures?
and by 9 pm..i am only at the 3-4 scene!!
so we got no choice but to email Ronald telling that we cant complete it by Mon.
But we will first email him our schedule and pass our script, journal and storyboard to him by Tues.

since we did the storyboard till 9..
WE ONLY ATE MAGGI MEE FOR DINNER!!!
but at least we gotten some food :/

Day Fifteen: Storyboard presentation.

Okay. presentation...
i guess ours was still alright as we got all stuffs prepared for the presentation=D
And.. OUR IDEA WAS NOT REJECTED!!~~ WEEE~~~~
HAHA!

my group was thinking about all those scenario whereby we cannot continue with this idea that we had been working on for a while now. haha!

But even though it was being accepted, we still need to reshoot our storyboard!!
i think its the same for the rest of the class as ronald said that all our storyboards were too brief and we need to be dependent on our storyboard.

So he gave us till monday to get our 1. storyboard, 2.blog, 3.timeline out for him.
But i dont think that we will have the time to reshoot!!!
I guess tommorrow all of us would be rushing our Design history and culture final assignment!!!
and on Sat sarah would be going overseas...

Hope that we could squeeze out time...

Day Fourteen: Nothing much..

Today we did pretty nothing much as we cannot start filming as we have not presented our storyboard to the lecturers yet and we were afraid that our ideas would not work.
so we spent another day in the mac lab...
Today we were supposed to complete the profile thingy as we dragged this thing for quite sometimes.
And we were supposed to bring our testimonial to have it type into the profile..
But, i was the only one who brought it to school...

Kind of pissed.. but nevermind.. theres still tommorrow..
But clint and shao hui decided to have theirs type out by their own so they started crapping in it.
Our group did not mind that as they showed the lecturers some of their personality too!
whereas jing yuan and sarah decide to do their at home.
and as sarah have not taken her picture yet, she took it using photo booth and jing yuan and i helped her to photoshop it and place it into her profile for her.

After that, jing yuan fell asleep on the desk..
so i continued editing the profiles and upon finishing.. i fell asleep too... :/
After which, shao hui and clint went off and sarah went to her design history and culture lesson.

about an hour later, we woke up and we went off.
*yawn*

Day Thirteen: Photo Booth!!!

The presentation postponed to Thursday! AGAIN!
but nvm.. its good that we finish doing our stuffs early :)

So my group went up to Mac lab to finish what we are supposed to finish.
therefore Sarah continued arranging the pictures for the storyboards..
while i continued doing the profile/ records needed for our video.
i then told my group mates to get their photos taken so that i can get it into their profile.
so while sarah was doing the work,
the rest of us was busy taking photos from the mac photo booth!!
We decided that we could do any pose that we wanted in mind as long as there is a front view and a side view.

And there it goes!~~~
the four of us took ALOT ALOT of pics!
until we were finally tired and we choose two pictures from the piles of pictures =D
so each of us edited our own pics to make the background grey in colour.
then they gave the pics to me and i put it into the profile template and what we left to do is to type our testimonial from secondary school into the profile and we are done with it!!

Day Twelve: No Scheduled Class!

No scheduled class today~
We were supposed to be on our own today and do whatever we were supposed to do.
So, as my group were all tired, we met up late.
and we continued doing our storyboarding.
FINALLY, WE.. COMPLETED.. THE.. STORYBOARD!!!!!!!
YOOHOO!!

anyway, sarah needs to go off for lesson at 3pm.
So me and jing yuan stayed back to do the draft of our script.
Clinton also needs to go off early and shao hui stayed for a while and left too.

So tomorrow we need to meet early to discuss on what to say for the presentation of the storyboard!

Day Eleven: There's Lesson!!?!

MY GOD!
today my group thought that there is not lesson.
so we messaged one another to meet at one pm to do out storyboard.
BUT, THERE IS!
And, the worst thing is, there is a PRESENTATION!
SH*T!
Sarah reached school first and she messaged me informing me.
so jingyuan and I rushed to school.
clinton and shao hui reached school before me and yuan.
When the both of us reached the class, only naf's group was inside it.
so we called clinton and he told us he's in the 3D anim lab.
so we meet him , shao hui and sarah at the lab.
after which we continued taking pictues for our story board.

We came up with an interesting idea for using the OHP to show the part on the spy master =D
so as our spy master is BARNEY,
We placed barney on the OHP and projected it on the screen and we took the picture of it .
This creates some humor for our video!

Then after Des HNC lesson, jing yuan and I went to the studio to redo some of the models as some people broke our specs and video cam.
the previous video cam was done by jing yuan and it looks perfect and cute.
But for this time round, i tried to do it.
And i received a few comments from others...

Jing yuan: why the video cam so long!
Jen : why the lens so big?!
sarah: the screen too big la miss!

LAUGH OUT LOUD!!
All NEGATIVE COMMENTS!
but altered the video cam according to their comments so my video cam looks JUST FINE!

HAHA!

Day Ten: Valentines Day!

Happy Valentines Day to all!!~
Today most people were dressed in their best outfit.
so most people dont have the mood to do work!

My group started the day by going up studio to collect the models we made yesterday.
after that we played with it for a bit before heading into the classroom to place it on the table.
Next we went to the book store to get our brown file which is need in our video at the part whereby we show the audience our profile.

After we bought the file, we went to the mac lab to get our profile done.
its template is lile a criminal report whereby we have our front and side views on the left side on a landscape paper.
and at the right we got other infomations for example name, admin no. , course, D.O.B and etc.

At 3 pm, we stop doing work as jing yuan and I need to rush off.
that for today and once again, Happy V. Day =D~~

Day Nine: What we know about Alan.

Sorry Alan!!
I went into class late today because i accompanied jing yuan to meet amanda.
So by the time we went in, everyone were being split into different groups.
We were being told to write what we know about alan first, then we were to write down what we WANT to know about alan.
We could write any random stupid stuffs we wanted.
Thats why all groups came up with stupid stuffs for example: Do you like Ronald? , Are you gay?
that kind of questions!
haha! luckily Alan does not really mind all this and answered each question respectively =D
Near the end of the activity, Julian came in to join us in the fun!
After which he and alan when to have their 'important meeting'!
HAHA!

Actually what alan wants to tell the whole class was that what the lecturers want to see in our video is things which allow them to know more about us as an individual. Instead of all those stuffs related to the modules we took.

After alan went off, my group went to level 5 studio to do our clay models for representing 3D art fun in our video.
We did stuffs related to spy. for example a video cam, specs, hat.
We did play around with the clay though... as we really missed the times having 3D.
so jingyuan did a crabstick sushi while i did zaihan! HAHA!

Day Eight: Storyboarding!

HELLO to supporters of my blog!(:

My group started doing storyboarding today!
we went to take photographs insyead of drawing as it is far more easier (:
our roles for today : shao hui, clin, jing yuan - actors
sarah - photographer
ME - the SPY.
LOL! posing those poses is damn embarassing!
i look like an idiot with weird poses!
but nvm at least i got a good laugh =D

after shooting the in classroom discussion scene, we went to design entrance to take photos of the spy "popping" into the campus.

after that we realise we dont have props to continue shooting for the other parts of the storyboard.
so we have to wait till we got hold of props that we need than we can continue on doing storyboarding.

Day Seven: First day back!

Welcome back all fellow course mates! (:
Today my group pretty much finalise our idea for the whole video.

At the startof the video, we will first shoot us in our dicussion for the story about spy. (shows storytelling)

then it warps into the story which will show the different things we did in MOI.
in sequence : DMfun-premiere, AfterEffect
Videofun-outdoor filming (boom mics tripod and stuffs)
2Dfun-showcase all paintings being displayed now around the campus
3Dfun-create our own clay sculpture use for modeling
back to DM-photoshop,illustrator
Animfun- flash, maya

After that would be credits which we would have an animation for it.

The ending would be the video warping back to us ending our dicussion and then we walk out of the room.

OK. thats what our video is about (:

Day Six : Presentation One!

HAPPY CHINESE NEW YEAR TO ALL!!
and sorry for the late update :/

for Day Six, my grp met up early to do some final touch up on our idea which is on the 'criminal' template.
Sarah did a simple powerpoint presentation on our project even though Alfie said it is not necessary.
But luckily we got this powerpoint as other groups all got theirs done too.
GOOD JOB TO SARAH :)
then at 12 30pm, we went to class and the presentation started.
We were the last group to present and the group before got ideas like making it a news broadcast, talk show etc.
When we presented our idea, Ronald does not seem to be concentrating on what we are saying so im afraid that he does not get our idea.
But well, we still got time to improve on the idea.

Basically, our whole template of the video will be on criminal.
the introduction of our group member would be like in the form of the criminal record.
then for the middle, it would be like the whole group doing some brainstorming for a crime story.
Then while showing us doing brainstorming, the whole video goes into the story we were doing just like when people go into their dreams.
Then for the ending part whereby the credits are being shown, we will do an animation which will look something like the pink panther or monster inc kind of ending.
This is the rough idea on what we will be doing.

Enough of the idea part, i want to comment that one person in my group who really pissed me off.
That person just does not want to cooperate with the rest of the group and i have already tried my best to bond the group together and obviously it doesnt work out the way i wanted.
So after some consultation, i had decided not to care too much about that person and continue to make this project a successful one with the rest of my group mates.

Day Five: Alfie's Day.

Today Roanld did not come into class and neither do alan.


So alfie came over to our class and talk to us about the project.


He said that we should not be so concerned about what alan had said on the 'showing all subjects' thingy as the important thing here in our video is that we should attract the secondary graduates to come to study in our course.

And he also told us some other pointers to take note of.

Then he said that we could consult him as VISITORs in his class.

So we went over to his class after having a brief dicussion in our group.

He told us that our idea was alright but we are confused over our theme and the style.

He explained to us clearly about it and then jing yuan thought of a way to improved our project which is adding in the brain-storming-as-a-group-and-then-going-into-the-idea idea.

Alfie said that this idea would be even better then our previous one as it shows people that brainstorming is essential in the design school.

So we took this idea down.

After consultation, we were dismissed.

Tomorrow is Presentation one...

alfie said that there no need to do powerpoint slides but we still started on doing one just in case =S
