Hello!!!
Ronald is gone and Alan took over today!
At the start of the lesson, we went to join Wahida's class to watch Capturing the Friedmans and another movie *i forgot wat its called*
The Friedmans movie consist of flashbacks, interview and photographs which make the whole story seems more interesting.
People would also get to know more about the background of the suspected rapist and the real rapist and thus guess the crime for themselves.
After watching, we went back to class room with alan.
We then started dicussion and alan went round to hear about our project.
He told us that our 'theme' FUN is not exactly a theme and gave us a few random examples to explain to us what we really should think about while doing this project.
And also that the introduction of our original video is irrelevant as our audience is the MOI freshies instead of the Des freshies.
So we decide to brain storm again and this time, we came up with a theme CRIME whereby all the intro, body and end will have something to do with crime.
For example video will be taken in the point of view of a spy, our self intro would be in the form of jail bird.
Storyboards are not done yet so its hard to describe the visuals.
so i'll talk about it next time.

Day Three: combined lecture
Hello!
Today we had a combined lecture with the other two classes at LT25.
At the start of the lecture, Alfie first show us some video to tell us about the different way to execute our video.
In one of the video about the Mount everest, it shows a documentry which is taken using a hand held camcorder or something as the video is shaky and the lightings and arrangement in this video were not well planned.
This is an example of a bad video and we were told not to produce such a low quality work, but the idea of the hand held camcorder is still alright though.
Then he showed another video called: Gangs of New york.
In this movie, all the places, town or city were all fake.
It was all specially built for this movie.
Thus Alfie emphasized the importance of the backdrop which would affect how the video look.
Next on the list is Ronald.
He showed us some introduction and ending of a few movie such as Hostage, Monster inc. and Shoot 'Em up.
I think that the introduction of Hostage is very well done as it is all 3D animation and how the camera moves is very smooth and the way the names are being placed on the screen are very creative.
And the part we see from Shoot 'Em up leaves a great impression on me as the carrot hand is too cool!!! Then the ending part also matches with the whole theme of the movie.
Last on the list is Wahida.
She showed as a more serious type of video which is an interview about wars.
Honestly when i see this type of video, i will not be attracted to it as i feel that it is boring.
But the idea about the lesson learned that is showed in different chapters is quite good actually as it makes things become very clear.
All these videos gives me more idea on how can i film my video.

Day Two : discussion
Today was kind of shocking as at the start of lesson as ronald, told us to present our idea on how are we going to produce our final work.
BUT, MY GROUP HAVE NOT COME UP WITH ANYTHING YET?!? omg!! O.O
We began to do some quick thinking...
"What is the thing that attracts people to come into Design?"
and within a few minutes, we got to a conclusion: FUN.
but we got only a very brief idea to present and thus, our idea was of course sort of 'rejected' as there is not much of a story line.
so we went back to REAL discussion.
so we came up with a idea of using animated characters in our video.
For the introduction, we will show the 5 different schools in TP (Des, Biz etc...) by using animated characters for the four other schools and human form for Design school.
Then maybe some mouse arrow appears and click off all the other schools leaving Design.
Then from here, we will go into the different courses in Des (Vsc, Imd etc)
They would be shown on a curtain or screen in the video and all courses except for Moi would be still to show pple that the main focus is MOI.
For the body, we will use the various modules we attended and show the FUN we got from it but also not forgetting the kowledge we gotten from it.
But, we are still not that sure on how we are going to achieve that but we are still currently brainstorming.
For the ending, we will come back to animated characters becoming still again.
Then we will add like a slogan 'Make things come alive. Join MOI!'
What i have said are just a rough idea on our final project....

Day One: Briefing!
Hello! to whoever will be visiting this blog :)
Its abit weird to blog about school works.
But nevermind :/
Okay! today we had our briefing on what to do for the Moi final project.
We are suppose to create a video on what have we had learnt during the first year of school in TP and on what exactly we do in this Moi course.
It would be a group work and my group mates are : Jing Yuan, Sarah, Clinton and Sean.
Hope that it would be comfortable working with this bunch of people =D
Presentation One is just round the corner!
So i guess we need to start real soon.
By the way...i thought someone told me that the note for today's briefing would be given to us?
But...its...MISSING?!?
I shall go check my mail now.
